The MIRA Academy

THE MIRA ACADEMY is an observational documentary series about MIRA coaches who train highly specialized dogs for people with visual and motor impairments and children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The series follows several dogs through their MIRA courses: from their host families to their intensive 3 to 6 months training courses, until their departure to their new masters. Apprenticeships, progress, camps and evaluations are at the rendezvous. Along the way, 40% of the dogs will be disqualified and will have to leave the training to continue their life in society. The others, winners, will become guide dogs.
